- The idea of an anthem for Ebelle Kingdom was first mooted by Major Festus Osarodion Oviawe (rtd) as a former Assistant Director of Music (ADOM) in the Nigerian Army, Ojo Army Cantonment Lagos. This is the same period Retired Army, Naval Airforce Officers (RANAO) was contemplating her anthem. He needed someone who understood literary music as an Ebelle indigene to share the vision with. Gabriel Iruobe, his right hand man became his delight. But before he could get down to work, he slept in the Lord. Only Gabriel Iruobe could then decide to fulfill the vision all alone or in collaboration with other literary musicians from Ebelle.
